Taking some Time
Dear Friends,
My mom died. She passed peacefully and quickly after complications from a stroke, the way she would have designed it.
I’ve been with my siblings in North Carolina, not writing. We all had time to commune with her at her bedside, moistening her mouth, talking, singing, laughing, crying, and praying.
Mom and I had a complex relationship, and I am processing it. Sometimes I am numb and distracted, and sometimes I feel like a knife is in my heart.
You all are a solace, a part of my life that calls me to create again in a way that honors the life she gave me.
Thank you.

I am so very sorry to find out about your Mother, Vanda. I wish you and your family much comfort and peace during this sad time.
Sorry for your loss, may she rest in peace.
